Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) Steps
Upon arrival at the workshop facility, open The Pit on your mobile tablet or smartphone. Tap "Attendance Clock-In" to timestamp your official arrival before touching any tool.
Your assigned jobs appear under the "Active Bay Queue". Tap the job card (e.g. #CW-2026-8941) to inspect customer complaint notes, vehicle VIN, and required service items.
Tap "Start Task Timer" when initiating mechanical work (e.g. Oil Sump Drain & Flush). The live precision clock tracks exact execution time against standard book time.
Run through the digital checklist. If you identify unexpected component wear (e.g. worn brake pads or leaking shock absorbers), tap "Capture Evidence" to take a high-res photo. This photo automatically embeds into the customer WhatsApp approval link.
Scan the barcode on replacement oil filters and brake pads using your device camera. Once all checklist items are checked, tap "Complete Job & Pass to QC Road Test".
